Yesterday, everyone cleared out of the house and I had the whole day to myself. I worked on my altar…cleaned it all up, got it organized, set up some new offering saucers.
Astalon had a wonderful idea for creating inconspicuous altars by placing the offering on a small saucer and placing it in a corner. This can be done both at home and at work.
I used his idea and offered some raisins for Dionysus and some Caramels for Hermes.
I lit scented candles for the Gods as well.
Sweet Petals for Persephone
Clove and Cinnamon for Hera
Caramel Creme for Hermes. (This is new…usually I light a Ginger candle for him)
Fig for Dionysus
Vanilla/Apple for Aphrodite
Hestia receives a tealight and a Home Sweet Home Scented Candle
Every week Aphrodite and Hera receive flowers. I go to the Grocery Store with my son, and he picks out a dozen roses for Aphrodite, and Lilies for Hera. This week Aphrodite received a beautiful bouquet of flowers, but no roses.
I also add Peacock Feathers in Hera’s vase of flowers.
Because no one was in the house, I was also able to burn incense. I burned a lovely Sage and Olive incense stick for Hera, and a Lavender Vanilla stick for Aphrodite.
It felt so wonderful to be able to worship and pray the way that I want to, not the way that I have to because I live in a situation where my worship must be restrained.
I was moved to tears, and incredibly happy.
There is nothing more rewarding, and more joyous than honoring the Gods.

Genuinely pious, rare, and beautiful.
