Menstruation and Praying?

I asked this on another forum, and am asking it here as well for as many opinions as I can get.

I hope it's alright if I ask this...I know in certain religions, such as Kemetic Orthodoxy, women are not allowed to pray during their menstrual cycle. Is this the same in Hellenismos? Or is it still allowed?

Menstruation is a hotly debated issue because there tends to be little information of the subject.

Some people claim the lack of information means there is no taboo at all, but seem to be very selective in their overall reasoning. Others claim there is "not enough" blood in menstrual fluid to be miasmic, but they are turning a blind eye to the fact that virtually all bodily excretions (specifically waste) would be miasmic and it wouldn't matter if menstrual fluid had any blood in it.

Robert Parker wrote the most definitive work on the subject of Miasma. He stated that where menstruation was discussed in ancient texts it was described as a process of purification, and of course we know this is true because the body is removing waste from the body. Therefore, the menstrual fluid would have to be handled as miasmic. Menstruation is not miasmic, but the fluid is.

What I have suggested is that as long as a woman keeps herself sanitary and feeling "fresh" that I did not think it was an issue. Modern sanitary products make cleanliness almost a non-issue.
